We are committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in Education, Financial Literacy, and Environment. Our employees are equally enthused towards creating a social impact and routinely come together to volunteer for various projects under these themes.

Our Social Responsibility Initiatives

At Max Life Insurance, we deal with a large segment of the population, finding solutions for their financial security needs. We are committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in Education, Financial Literacy, and Environment. Our employees are equally enthused towards creating a social impact and routinely come together to volunteer for various projects under these themes.

Launched in 2008, Max India Foundation (MIF) represents the Max Group’s social responsibility efforts. It is focussed on the creation of opportunities by empowering children with an education and sustainable livelihood skills. Through Max India Foundation, Max Life Insurance has been providing support to multiple NGOs in the field of education for many years. During FY‘24, Max Life supported 13 leading NGOs towards education, benefiting 26,902 children directly and 1.6 Cr children indirectly. Through these NGOs, support was also provided for the training of 34 fellows, 4.37 lakh teachers, and 3680 community members.

Financial Literacy and Insurance Awareness

When it comes to mass awareness of Insurance and its importance, India needs to catch up to its global counterparts. To ensure that our communities are well-informed about the best practices in personal finance, Max Life Insurance is working tirelessly to drive financial literacy and insurance awareness programs for various districts. Our project’s objective was to enroll citizens into government welfare schemes in Haridwar, Varanasi and Purbi Singhbhum districts. In 2023-24, we positively impacted 59000 beneficiaries and reached out 10.5 lakh citizens.

Pehal - Maxlife Insurance

Max Life Insurance, in association with Haqdarshak and Saaras Foundation in FY’24, touched the lives of over 59,000 citizens in Haridwar, East Singhbhum and Varanasi. Insurance Awareness & Financial Literacy leading to Sustainable livelihood is a key component of the project.

The project tries to remove the major hurdles the citizens face while learning about the schemes and applying for these Government Welfare Schemes through Haqdarshaks – a trained cadre of women from the community who provide end-to-end field support until the citizen receives the benefits. The project leverages a tech platform with welfare schemes mapped in local languages.

A detailed Need Assessment Survey and citizen profiling determine a customised list of eligible schemes for each citizen. The impact we are creating is not limited to the scheme enrolment, which contributes to their family income and better living standard; it also leads to citizens becoming aware & having conversations about welfare schemes. They engage with government departments, which in turn provides a better understanding of their needs, resulting in effective inclusive policies.

At Max Life Insurance, will continue to work in this area to improve the lives of these marginalised communities.

ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION

Environment Conservation - Max Life

We care about sustainability and are working towards conserving natural resources. Our collaboration with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) for the greening of the metro line for 4.25 km has brought a breath of fresh air to the urban concrete landscape of Gurgaon under the Green Gurugram Project. We also partnered with SEEDS (Sustainable Environment & Ecological Development Society) to revive a dried pond in Jharsa village in Gurugram that was overtaken by invasive species and construction waste.

Earlier in the year, our employees participated in planting 10,000 trees at the Police Training Academy in Bhondsi village, Gurugram.

PEHAL was launched in May 2016 to build a culture of volunteering and commitment to society amongst our employees. The PEHAL Employee volunteering program aims to participate and contribute towards diverse community service initiatives through the effort of employees and agent advisors in the areas where we operate.
